Anna Vinegrad

Head of Communications

Anna Vinegrad is an independent PR consultant, specialising in art and culture, and is responsible for devising and managing Artichoke’s media relations campaigns. She first worked with Artichoke on Antony Gormley’s One & Other commission for the Fourth Plinth in 2009, and helped launch the first Lumiere light festival that year. 

Her previous experience includes marketing management roles at Pearson Education and Reaktion Books, heading up the marketing department at Thames & Hudson and Head of Visual Arts & Culture at Idea Generation until December 2010.

Anna’s work with other arts organisations and festivals includes 14-18 NOW, the official commemoration programme for WW1 (2014), Enniskillen International Beckett Festival (2012, 2013), the Sonica sound art festival in Glasgow (2012,2013), SNAP Art at the Aldeburgh Festival (2013, 2014) and exhibitions and events for the Wellcome Collection and Wellcome Trust (2009, 2011).

Anna is a member of the steering group for FORMAT International Photography Festival and a Fellow of the RSA. She holds a PhD from the University of London.
