LUMIERE 2013: DURHAM AND DERRY

In November 2013, two bespoke LUMIERE light festivals will light up the night once again. The events will be the biggest of the kind anywhere in the UK, and will take place consecutively in Durham and Derry-Londonderry.
Following two successful editions of LUMIERE in Durham in 2009 and 2011, we have been re-commissioned by Durham County Council to produce a third edition of the light festival for that city.
On the back of this success, we have also has been invited to stage LUMIERE as the closing event for Derry UK City of Culture 2013.
The two festivals will be individually curated and programmed, with a mix of high profile artist commissions, local and community initiatives. Programme details for each will be revealed next year so stay tuned.
We're re-developing the LUMIERE website and will re-launch it in the New Year. In the meantime we have a temporary page which you can visit.
