The killing of George Floyd has made us think long and hard about the institutional and structural racism that impacts Black lives in the US, the UK and the rest of the world. We stand with those who are protesting and struggling for justice.

As a predominantly white organisation in a sector where people of colour are under-represented, we recognise that we need to do better, and actively work to break down the barriers that prevent people of colour making their way in the arts industry. We are committed to making our workplace more inclusive, to working with local schools and educational institutions to bring young people of colour into the arts sector and to creating real opportunities for artists from the global majority.  We have talked and listened to our Black employees and Trustees at this time and will continue to work together towards an equitable future.
